About me, Where do I begin?

Intro:

Hi there, if you viewing this page, you are probably looking to find out more about Digital Park, what I do with technology and my personal background.

Let us start with what I do, I think this is more important to you anyway and a great place to start. In my career as a lead technical developer I have come to work with many of the current web technologies to develop and create applications and websites for mobile and the web.

My Skillset:

- PHP and MySQL integration, building custom Content Management Systems and applications.

- xHTML, HTML5, working with the latest technology to improve user browsing.

- CSS, CSS3, manipulating the way browsers render your web project with great effect and speed.

- jQuery, Prototype, using the latest libraries, I can make your website come to life.

- xCode, mobile app development for iPhone and iPad.

- Flash, ability to create animations and full websites rendered in Flash.

- .NET 2.0, using visual studio to build windows based solutions and websites.


You may notice quite a diverse set of skills from my current skillset and you would be correct. My history with technology and client demand has ensued me to learn many different web based coding languages. This is more benifical for both myself and you the client. How? well, with such a diverse skillset, I can ensure that your website, product or application will comply with web standards, not require any architectural updating* (which can be costly) and I offer the best possible solution for your product, website or application on a per project basis.

About Me:

Let me talk a little about me. My name is Rob Cullen, I live and work in Suffolk, United Kingdom in a small town called Brandon. I moved to Brandon in 2009 to work of a web design company, from my home town Grimsby. I am a huge lover of technology and gadgets. I keep myself in good physical health and play sports. I am a very pro-active person, always learning new skills and sharing ideas, which I will in blogs posts to follow. I enjoy sharing what I have learnt with other developers and will from time to time write tutorials so others can learn from me.

Digital Park:

Digital Park is a portfolio, blog and home for my work and words. The name pitches two ideas together my love for real world(nature) and the digital world (the cloud). The cloud is known as a elastic hosting service, meaning the expansion of websites can be done without downtime or your customer expereince issues with your product, website or application. I do offer this as a service, hosting can be included in your project, just let me know if this is a requirement.

* Please note that most of these technologies will never overhaul the architecture of the language, but Apple do tend to be a forward thinking company and may release new products and software that may render your current application obsolete on newer products and software, but still work on older products.
